HALAWET AL JEBEN
INGREDIENTS:
HALAWEH INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 kilo Akkawi cheese.
- 3/4 cup
semolina( smeed).
- 1/2 cup of
water.
CREAM
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup milk powder and mix it with 1 cup of water.
- 2 big spoons flour.
- 1 cream
packet.
SYRUP
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups of sugar.
- 1 cup of
water.
STEP
BY STEP:
- Prepare first the cream by: boiling the milk first, and
when it is boiled, add the cream packet, and then the flour, keep them until
they get cold.
- HALAWET AL JEBEN:
a) Cut the cheese into pieces and put
it in the water, and change the water from while to while until it gets sweety.
b) Boil the 1/2 cup of water, then add the cheese, and keep
mixing until it melts and becomes one lump, then add the semolina and mix very
well.
- Add some syrup(little bit) over the cheese.
- Take a piece of the hot(halawet al jeben) and spread it
on a tray by your hand and fill it with the cream, then roll it and cut it.
- Repeat this step until all the ingredients finishes.
- Garnish with pistachio.
